This game has to be one of the few RPG games that takes sim game elements, so much so that we’d almost categorize it as a sim but because there are quests to achieve, an inventory of collected items, level ups, and strategies connected with RPGs, it would only be fair to say it’s much more of an RPG incorporating sim game play. In any case, it’s a fun diversion from every day life. What happens, is you and your hot air balloon break down in a mysterious place and your main goal is to get it fixed so you return to the sky, up, up and on your merry way. Meet the towns quirky characters and remember their personalities, likes and dislikes. Do them favors and gain more confidence from the locals. Your success will be a way to gain access to your ride home. Train one or many cute pets that will help you on your mini missions and to advance closer to your goal. Consider Wandering Willows a cross between The Legend of Zelda
, Nintendogs
and Virtual Villagers or The Sims
.

The game developers who made the popular and addictive Virtual Villagers…are baaaack. If you like sim games you will love Virtual Families, a game for Mac that runs in true-real time. First adopt a person but understand their needs so you can move on from there. Then take him/her on the adventure of a lifetime. Will he meet the love of his life and start a family? Hang out with him and get him to live the life you’ve always wanted to live yourself. Like real life, your Virtual family’s lives will go on, no matter what, even when you’ve turned off your Mac. You will be anxious to get back to your desktop to see what has happened!

The settlement at Hope River has been demolished by an evil varmint, the Mad Russian, a villain who is determined to take down the town. Residents are hitting the trail and getting out of Dodge. Yes sir, they are fleeing the place for safer territories. Your job is to steer the fortunes of three different pioneers as best as you can, as they establish a new outpost in the Wild West. Will you be able to uncover the Mad Russian’s base of operations? Wrangle resources, prevail against natural disasters and chart out new territory as you guide your settlers to safety and success. Gamers who loved Be a King, Build a Lot, Build a Lot 2, Build a Lot 3 and Virtual Villagers will probably really like Westward II Heroes of the Frontier.
