No, this isn’t about required high school reading. This mac game is an adaptation of the classic novel by Jules Verne, Around the World in 80 Days where you will play a game that takes you … around the world in 80 days! I thought you might have guessed that. Actually, you have only 80 days to circumnavigate the globe. You’ll be on an adventure of a lifetime traveling across four continents by land, air and sea with dare devil Philieas Fogg and his assistant, Passepourtout. In order to complete your 80 day mission, you are called upon to solve matching gem puzzles. The successful completion of these puzzles will allow you to continue on your worldly journey. You will definitely enjoy this game if you liked 4 Elements, The Rise of Atlantis and The Call of Atlantis, which were all made by the developers who made Around the World in 80 Days.

In a world overflowing with match three and hidden object games (not that there’s anything wrong with them!), it’s a welcome breath of fresh air when something completely different emerges. That’s exactly how we reacted when Smashing Tennis was released. A casual and bargain sports tennis game for Mac is extremely rare. How should gamers approach this uncommon situation? Go for it. Hiding behind a 2D environment with basic graphics, you will find an incredibly addictive arcade game with authentic sounds and realistic physics built into the game. With some practice in the training mode, you will be able to perfect your moves; lob, dink and of course, smash the tennis ball where ever you want it to go. You can even dive for shots. Three different court surfaces (grass, clay and synthetic decoturf) will respond differently to your shots just like in the real game of tennis, so climb up the circuit ladder defeating player after player, and ace your way to victory in the final tournament. Smashing Tennis surprisingly ends up being a very good tennis game for mac and it’s available for a remarkable value of $9.95. Read more about it here: Smashing Tennis.

Archibald is a cool skater in the neighborhood. He has the skills and courage to take on the biggest and baddest ramps out there, and there is one in a trash dump next to Professor Klumpfus’ mansion. Legend has it that this professor is mad, and has created some of the weirdest invention imaginable. While skating near the mansion, Archibald falls into the sewers, and is now in close contact with these mutants. As you navigate the maze of sewers on your trusty skateboard, guide Arch to the exit. Each platform level has a different way to pass it, and it is up to you to figure it out. The further you advance in the game, the trickier the levels become, so stay focused and alert. Guide Archibald to the safety of the exits, and enjoy skating around the dangerous sewer. For another platform mac game, help Gold Miner Joe explore the deep dark mines.
